Great News!!!
Your paperback Pick Me Up Book is available for collection from tomorrow onwards!
Another Great News!!!
Popular wants to carry Pick Me Up Book! With around 23-26 stores locally, there would mean an additional 1000 books sold! This is an exciting and encouraging piece of good news for the Pick Me Up Team, and definitely for children at Make-A-Wish-Foundation. To know that our efforts have paid off and the local bookstores are carrying our books really bring a lot of pride and smile to our faces, as we battle through the long sleepless nights of trying to drive this charity campaign.

To all the people out there,
How was your weekend? Don’t some of you find it strange that we didn’t have any post these 2 days?
Truth is, all of us are really maxed out. Especially for the sales team. They are running on overtime to ensure that all payments are cleared so that the books can be out on time for delivery. It seems as though that their hands got glued to either the keyboard or the phone. Dark patches linger around their eyes converting the office to panda-land!!
If you happen to receive a call by them, don’t be fooled by the cheerfulness of their voices. These ladies have really put in their hearts and souls to ensure that the back end is functioning. If you haven’t receive their call, then there are two possibilities.
1) you have made payment (like you should have)
or
2) you are on the long list of people that they will be calling up soon (so wait awhile more).
On the Internet side, there should be more things coming up, but no promise as the online team is quite stretched. Thank God they are made of rubber and that they are super elastic.
Check in for more updates,
Pick Me Up Team ; )

We finally finished a day’s of phone call and we are now doing a completion and summary of what happened today. Action packed, super fast, super crazy. Calls non stop, people calling up corporates, every body else, urging the masses to get the book. Getting the book not because of the book itself, but because of the ideals and cause that it serves.
It is buying into a dream that we are taking into reality. The success of this project really shows that anyone, anybody can achieve their dreams. And for the kids, everybody’s contribution means helping 1 more child get what they wish for. Some of these kids might not even be able to live till Chinese New Year, hence every minute, every second is essential. It is important. Time cannot be wasted. That’s also one of the driving forces behind doing things in a blitz, in a fast and furious 24 hours, 72 hours time frame, getting maximum results in the minimum amount of time.
We definitely faced a lot of resistance in our quest and journey in getting to where we want to go. But I’m glad we did. The more people resisted, the more we persist! We must break through our own limitations and keep going at this project!
Whee
Have you bought your book yet?

Well it has been a long long night. Every thing about technical stuff that can go wrong seem to gang up and fall onto us at the same time!! For me, I haven got a minute of sleep just by getting the system in place. And you know what? they are still not integrated fully.
With so many domain name in place, I am starting to lose direction in their over all purpose.
The whole team is still very committed and even though we have lost our sleep, we never lost steam. We have new strategy in place and each individual would have a target to hit. Well enough said, I need to get more content and updates!! Stick around people.

After the 24-hour blitz, we really went far and gain a lot of coverage all over the world. Although we didn’t hit our 10,000 sales, we were wiser from our mistakes and stronger from our efforts.
After a day of rest, we decided that we will continue the challenge, if for nothing else, we are doing it for charity. 60% of our proceeds will go to charity, and this will remain our driving force for these 72 hours.
Today, 15th January 2008 2:07pm (+8 PST), Kelvin officially announced the start of the 72 hours. We have the foundations, we have the planning, we will run from here until the final moment to hit the 10,000 sales to make a difference to the world.

It’s the end of our 24-hour challenge!
Let’s see what we’ve accomplished so far in 1 day:
- 1 hard copy of Pick Me Up Book
- Interviewed by Channel NewsAsia
- Featured in My Paper
- Radio broadcast on 93.8
- An internet marketing system that operates by itself
- An opportunity to change the world
- Reach out to approximately 5.8 million bloggers
- Reach out approximately 6 million social network
- Form a team of PR, online team, editorial team, sales and strategy team
- Opportunity to work with overseas media
Despite the Pick Me Up team being amateurs in publishing books, and internet marketing, we did our best to make things happen! We had a lot of focus, a good direction to run with and kept our eyes on the ball. Unfortunately, we did not meet our target of 10,000 sales.
As such, to honor our words, we’re extending our time-line by another 72-hour such that we can honor our integrity in making those children’s wishes come true.
This does not mark the end. It merely marks the end of a beginning.
For those whom have bought a copy of the book, may the 42 inspirational stories remind you to be bigger than who you are, and of your possibilities.
For those whom have yet to grab a copy, please get one today! =)

The interesting part is, we’ve got other bloggers blogging about this exciting news and spreading the word for us. This is so cool! Read this article by Rajesh Setty:

Thank you guys, for supporting us! =)
Again, I’ll like to urge everyone to start buying more copies of the book.
Our target is 10,000 within the next 72 hours.
Currently, we’ve yet to cross our 1K mark.
Is this project challenging? Of course!
Is this project impossible? I don’t think so!
All it takes is a little contribution from everyone.
All it takes is for you to start believing that dreams do come true.
All it takes is for you to start a little spark before we create a wild fire together.
C’mon guys, let’s Make It Happen! =
